No sooner had I posted the previous entry than I began having second thoughts about my choice of blogging software. I have a weak spot for bBlog, and it has some very unique features, but writing the post made me re-consider it’s limitations. No active development, and it’s successor seems at a very early stage, no real support, lack of standardised customisation/ plug-ins, and it’s a real pain to go through the download-edit-upload cycle every time I want to change anything. I really like bBlog’s administration panel, but little things like the fact that’s there’s no posting preview quickly began to chafe. For the post I wrote yesterday, I had to publish, check, edit and re-publish about half-a-dozen times. After my discovery that Wordpres is, in fact, free-as-in-beer, there was no reason not to give it a go.
